A startup covering horticulture, corporate, and personalised plant gifting. They also act as an aggregator platform for similar industries from their domain.

Challenges

  • Sole reliance on organic strategy: The client firmly believed and emphasised on delivering result only and only through organic approach in terms of strategy, content and positioning leaving very less margin for errors for a precise plan of execution.
  • Had a single vertical to promote and tap into a wider target audience: We had the challenge of expanding the target audience from only plant lovers or collectors to promoting the idea of giving plants as personalised gifts. We had to formulate targeted digital campaigns to reach a broader demographic and increase the brand visibility.

Approach and Execution

  • Primary Research and Product diversification: Duss Digital conducted an extensive primary research for the client and recommended product diversification, guiding the customer's product marketing. The product diversification was given to classify into for home and for office purpose plants.
  • Designing a communication strategy to appeal to a wider target audience: We created an effective communication strategy tailored for audiences unfamiliar with the concept of plants as personalised gifts. We leveraged the visually engaging digital content to convey the unique appeal of plant gifts, integrating technical precision with accessible language to captivate a previously untapped demographic. We also employed a communication strategy where the target audience were from both the domains of B2B and B2C, with a strong focus on B2C. B2B and B2C target audience were channelised through respective vehicles.

Results:

  • - Based on a structured approach backed by in-depth research data, we were able to gain increased traction on the client’s page despite the limited following and complete reliance on organic strategy. We were also able to get the client an inflow of orders and inquiries through our compelling communication strategy.

Impact Statement

Duss Digital’s simplified and methodical communicative strategy led to increased traction on the client’s page, which was started from scratch, resulting in an overflow of order of more than 30 subscriptions that led to additional manufacturing from the client, putting the operations on hold.
